About counselling
I understand how talking and being honest in the company of someone unfamiliar can be daunting, and to begin with, the prospect of counselling can feel overwhelming.
Counselling as a process may not always seem easy, as I have discovered on my own journey. It can feel like a roller coaster of emotions with you being its passenger. As your counsellor, I will be there alongside you through the challenges you are experiencing, and facing in your life, and together we will face what is troubling you at the pace you decide.
About me, my training qualifications and experience
As a registered counsellor I have experience working within a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bereavement, abuse and relationship issues.
Counselling as an individual process differs in time for everyone, therefore I offer both short term and long-term sessions to accommodate.
As a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I adhere to their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. I undertake regular supervision, in order to review my working practice this ensures that I am working in a safe and ethical manner.
